The Organisation Data Service, run by NHS Digital, is responsible for registering and maintaining basic data for all NHS and many non-NHS healthcare organisations, such as NHS Trusts, care homes, GP surgeries and more.
The ODS Code, also known as the "DH Code" or "Trust Code", is a 1-9 character, alphanumeric code, that provides an easy way to refer to a specific entity registered with the ODS. For example, all NHS Trusts have a 3 letter code. You can view and search data for NHS trusts below:
